Be nice to not have the software stall on each start (we often start it up, walk away expecting that it will be busy syncing the libraries, pulling down large content, etc) - only to forget that it's sitting at the "Update Now" dialogue box. Be nice to perhaps just open as normal, and provide an alert somewhere across top or bottom advising "New updates available" like Wordpress ... then you click them to run the update - or ignore them until next time.
