When I upload an image to my lib, it nestles into the 100 or so images - and I cant find it! I have to hunt looking for it - which is time wasting. It would be nice for the image to be selected ready for us as a default action after the upload. Typically, I've uploaded it to work with it immediately ...

Use the "Sort by" option at the top of your media library to sort by "Modified". That will but the newest media on top.
