Does Music Stand run if my internet goes down?

Is it possible to download the music to my iPad in case my internet goes down during the service?

There's no download button, but if you have the setlist pulled up on MS before going offline, the data will stay cached on the device. Just try not to completely close the app, which may or may not reset the cache.
