Import Custom Bibles (XMLs)

If you don't see the Bible translation you're looking for in our list of provided translations, you can manually import Bibles for use in WorshipTools Presenter. In order to be eligible for use in Presenter, the Bibles must be in XML format (.xml). Files formatted as Word Documents (.docx), PDFs (.pdf), plain text (.txt), etc. will not work for Bible importing.

How to find XMLs

You can start by searching this public directory. This is an open website where people can share Bible XMLs that they have created. There are many Bibles available here, but if you still do not find the one you are looking for, you may have to search the broader Internet through Google or another preferred search engine. Please keep in mind that some Bibles may be easy to find in XML format, while others might not exist at all. This can be due to a wide variety of reasons including Bible copyrights.

WorshipTools is not affiliated with the directory linked above in any way and has no control over what is or is not available on this site.

Installing an XML in Presenter

If you're able to obtain an XML of your desired translation, the next step is to import it into Presenter. Open the Presenter app, click the ⚙ gear icon in the top right corner, then Settings. Open the Bibles tab on the left and click Import Bible. Once the import is complete, restart your Presenter and your new Bible will be ready for use in your church service presentations.

If you run Presenter on multiple computers, go back to Settings > Bibles page after installation and click the "Upload" button to the right of the imported Bible's name. This will upload your Bible to the WorshipTools Cloud so that your other computers can access it without having to reimport the XML into Presenter on each computer. All you need to do is click "Download and Install" next to the uploaded XML Bible in the Presenter settings on each computer after the initial import.

Note: There is no particular standardization when it comes to XMLs, as anyone can create these files. This means that some XMLs may not be formatted in a way that Presenter can properly process into presentable Bible data. If you're having issues with an XML file, reach out to our support team at [email protected].
