The Rehearse tab is a piece of the WorshipTools Charts app embedded into the Planning app for convenient access. All music-related materials for a given service will be housed under the Rehearse tab, making it easy for the worship team to find their chord charts, sheet music, and listening references in one place. Go to Services in Planning, open up a service, and find the Rehearse tab to get there.
Note: If you are on a mobile device, the Rehearse tab may not show chord charts or sheet music. This is due to the constraints of the screen dimensions. In this case, please open the WorshipTools Charts app and view the service setlist directly through Charts instead of Planning. To access listening materials in Charts, click the double eighth note icon in the upper-right corner of the song.
There are two sections to the Rehearse tab in Planning. On the left will be a window very similar to the Charts app. Use this window to view lyrics, chord charts, sheet music, and PDFs. Many of the functions work like the Charts app, so you can make annotations, change sources, apply capos, edit the ChordPro, and more, just like you would in Charts.
The main difference to note here is that when you tap the title of the song at the top of the viewer, then click Edit Song, it will take you to the song editing page in Planning rather than the song editing page in Charts. There, you can make edits to the song's details, lyrics, chords, media files, and more. Read more about editing songs in Planning here.
On the right side of the view, you'll see the songs in your service setlist. When you click on any of the titles, it will open up to show any media listening files that are linked to this song.
For each song in your Song Library, you can link videos from YouTube, link audio from Spotify or Apple Music, or upload .mp3/.wav files. These files are to serve as a listening reference for your team as they learn and practice the songs at home. It helps keep your whole team on the same page, as there are can often be many different versions of the same worship song, led by various worship leaders, sung in different keys, in different arrangements, and so on. By providing these references, your team can listen and learn the correct version each time.
Note: Spotify and Apple Music integrations are unique to each user (each person on your team). Only the users that have connected their personal Spotify or Apple Music accounts to their Planning Profiles will be able to listen to the full Spotify or Apple Music media. Read more about Spotify and Apple Music integrations here.
To curate listening media for your songs, click the title of the song at the top of the left chart viewer. Then click Edit Song. On the next page, you'll find a "Media" section towards the bottom left. Click + Manage Media and you'll see the various options for adding and selecting media files. Make sure to save changes so that these files are then accessible back on the Rehearse tab for your team.
